The Magliano Alfieri Classic Festival takes place in the picturesque setting of the Castello dei Conti Alfieri, located at Via Alfieri 6, in the upper village of Magliano Alfieri (CN). A natural balcony overlooking the UNESCO-designated hills, it is easily accessible by car and well-connected to the main towns of the Langhe and Roero regions.

By Car

  • From Turin: Take the A6 Turin-Savona highway, exit at Marene, and continue on the A33 Asti-Cuneo highway toward Alba/Asti. Take the Castagnito exit and follow the signs for Magliano Alfieri (Borgo Alto/Castello).
  • From Milan: Take the A7 highway toward Genoa, then the A21 Turin-Piacenza highway toward Turin. Exit at Asti Est and take the A33 Asti-Cuneo highway toward Alba. Exit at Govone or Castagnito and follow the signs to Magliano Alfieri Castle.
  • From Alba: Take State Road 231 (formerly SS231) toward Asti. In about 10–15 minutes, you’ll reach the hamlet of Sant’Antonio di Magliano; from there, follow the scenic road toward the castle

By Train and Bus

  • Train: The nearest train stations are Alba and Asti, served by regional trains on the Turin–Fossano–Alba or Turin–Asti lines.
  • Bus: From the bus stations in Alba and Asti, there are intercity bus routes that stop in Magliano Alfieri (Sant’Antonio district). To reach the castle (in the upper part of town), we recommend taking a taxi or a local shuttle service, unless a specific shuttle service has been arranged for the festival.

By Plane

For those traveling from afar, the Magliano Alfieri Classic Festival is easily accessible from the major airports in Northern Italy:

  • Turin Caselle Airport (TRN): It is approximately 85 km away. From the airport, you can rent a car and take the A55 (Turin Ring Road) and then the A6/A33 toward Alba. Alternatively, you can take the bus or train to Turin Porta Nuova Station and then continue by train to Asti or Alba.

  • Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP): It is located about 150 km away. It is the most convenient international airport for intercontinental flights. The drive takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes via the A26 and A21 highways toward Asti.
