Paolo Vivaldi graduated in Composition from the Conservatory of S. Cecilia in Rome under the guidance of teacher Teresa Procaccini, and is an arranger and composer of soundtracks for film and television, often also handling the orchestration of his compositions and taking care of the orchestral direction during recording.

His long filmography includes Fabrizio Cattani's "Maternity Blues" (2011), which was presented at the 68th Venice Film Festival, and Claudio Calligaris' "Don't be Bad" (2016, for which he received the "Colonnesonore.net" Award in 2012 and 2016, respectively.

Paolo Vivaldi received the Premio Sonora, the only exclusive Italian and international award for composers of film music, sponsored by, among others, the Presidency of the Italian Republic, in 2007 as best soundtrack for the movie film "Il sorriso dell'ultima notte" by Ruggero Cappuccio, in 2008 as best soundtrack fiction section for the two-part miniseries "Rino Gaetano" by Marco Turco, in 2011 for the soundtrack of the RAI TV film "Edda Ciano and the Communist," in 2012 for the soundtrack fiction section soundtrack for the two-part miniseries "L'Olimpiade Nascosta," and in 2014 for the TV drama "Adriano Olivetti - La forza di un sogno."
