MACF 2024: Expansions
The fifth edition of the MACF Magliano Alfieri Classic Festival promises to be a musical landmark for the Roero area, a crossroads of creativity and traditions that embraces the culture and well-being of the people who live there.
This festival, rooted in ancient land-related traditions, is following a new direction, embracing expansions and synergies involving people, places, and continents. In this article, we will explore the benefits the festival will have on the Roero in the coming years, focusing on its high artistic quality and its mission in conveying love for the art of music.
High Musical Perfectionism in the Roero.
The fifth edition presents itself as an ambitious project focused on creativity and traditions. This year, the festival moves away from a more settled trend, embracing a series of expansions involving the territory, supported by local institutions, the Piedmont Region and sponsors. This new direction toward synergistic activities and cultural projects promises to leave an increasingly articulate artistic footprint in the Roero community and beyond.
What's new in the project
New additions to the 2024 edition of MACF include the inclusion of important Maestros from the greatest international orchestras, as well as being teachers in the most renowned Academies in Europe.
Classes in flute, trumpet, oboe and bassoon expand the educational offerings, giving the project greater quality and content. This development transforms the Festival into a widespread and itinerant event, involving the towns of Magliano Alfieri, Priocca, Castagnito, Monticello d'Alba, Castellinaldo d'Alba and Govone. This logistical choice is not only necessary but expansive, bringing the Festival to cover part of the Roero territory.
Young Laboratory of Principal Instrument
We will delve into the main instrument young workshop project, aimed at the very young, which was very successful in the last edition. The Festival opens the doors of the castle to outside auditors, allowing them to enter the Festival machine and be an integral part of it, enjoying the positive dynamics of the MACF universe.
Collaborations and news in the program
MACF continues its collaboration with Brazil's Baccarelli Foundation of S.Paulo for the 'Give a Masterclass' project aimed at socially vulnerable young Brazilian musicians.
A new feature that enriches the program schedule is the introduction of music therapy applied to quality of life, in the service of talent and artistic performance. Through these ambitious projects, the Festival aims to generate initiatives that support music education as a driver of skills, social transformation, identity and collective development.
